Tony Salas was certainly one of the Class of 1957's most important athlete heroes. We've received a suggestion that we use our Blog to create a biography of our classmate.
Share what you know about Tony's life after our graduation.
Our classmate who suggested this collective biography believes that Tony died in an airplane accident, possibly piloting a sports plane, such as a Pitts Special. Was Tony doing an acrobatic maneuver when the plane crashed?
email me your statements about Tony's life or add them in the comment section here.

I BELIEVE THAT TONY WAS A PASSENGER ON THAT PLANE. WE WORKED TOGETHER AT XEROX IN THE
BAY AREA OF CALIF. IN 1970. AS A FRESHMAN AT NOTRE DAME I WATCHED TONY BREAK ALL THE CATHOLIC LEAGUE RECORDS WITH BILL GREGORY.

ACTUALLY IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A YEAR OR SO EARLIER THAT TONY & I WERE AT XEROX
