CLASSMATE PAT CURTIS and THE GOLDEN BOOT AWARDS
The Golden Boot Awards
When recently asked if he was still involved in the motion picture / entertainment business, our classmate Patrick Curtis (aka Pat Smith in 1957) responded: "One of the things I do is write and produce the Golden Boot Awards, for the Motion Picture & Television Fund. 2007 will be our 25th year, and during that time, we've raised many millions of dollars for the Fund, in Woodland Hills. Last year, we honored Clint Eastwood; Ann-Margret, Wes Studi, Joan Leslie & Powers Boothe to name a few.

The Golden Boot Awards honor actors, actresses, and crew members who have made significant contributions to the genre of Western television and movies. The award is sponsored and presented by the Motion Picture & Television Fund. Money raised at the award banquet is used to help finance various services offered by the Fund to those in the entertainment industry.
